Beautiful Invitation

BEAUTIFUL INVITATION
(BE-I)

Be-I by Watch & Walk Ministry is a spiritual formation and capacity building program for Christian women. The concept of “Beautiful Invitation” comes from an idea of re-imagined Christian witness. Jesus gives the initial invitation in Matthew 4:19 with the  simple words, “Come and follow me.” When we choose to follow Jesus’ call on our lives,  our lives themselves become a beautiful invitation to others to do the same.  As Christians, our lives ought to be the hard question that people bump up against, that convicts them of who they are and are becoming. For the Christian woman, beauty becomes apologetics; her argument for the gospel is her life.

The short name "Be-I" has been chosen for two reasons. First, a Beautiful-invitation initiative will encourage today's woman to reflect regularly on the question, "Am I spending most of my time on BEING beautiful or on LOOKING beautiful?" Second, "Be-I" reminds today's woman that she is beautiful regardless of her physical make-up,  background, or circumstance. She can thus say to herself, "BE I rich or poor, tall or short, I am beautiful before God, and so I must reflect divine beauty."

Be-I by Watch & Walk is led by a team of nine inspiring Christian ladies from three nations: Ghana, Rwanda, and USA. Through mentorship, seminars, provision of theological resources, sponsorships, Christian art, and other transformative initiatives, the Be-I Team empowers Christian women to know their worth in Christ and equips them to incarnate a beautiful invitation - a life filled with grace and truth.

The maiden Be-I event was a virtual conference that took place on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 8:00am Central Time. The conference brought together Christian women from diverse cultural backgrounds to discuss the question of establishing boundaries in one's vocation, ministry, and relationship.
