Our Core Beliefs

 OUR CORE BELIEFS

 GOD

There is only One God.

God is three persons in one: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.

God is all-knowing, all-powerful and everywhere.

God is the One who created the universe, revealed Himself to the people of Israel as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and revealed Himself to humanity as Jesus Christ over two thousand years ago.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God.

God the Father sent Him to redeem humanity from sin and death.

He lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of the world and resurrected from the dead on the third day.

After His resurrection He ascended into Heaven to be with the Father.

He is in Heaven interceding for all who come to God through Him.

One can go to the Father only through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ will return to the earth in physical form to judge both the living and the dead.

HOLY SPIRIT

Holy Spirit is God.

Holy Spirit lives in everyone who has admitted that he or she is a sinner, has repented of his or her sin, and has put his or her faith in Christ.

SCRIPTURE

Scripture is an inspired Word of God.

As an inspired Word, all Scripture is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness (2 Tim 3:16).

GOD'S PLAN FOR SALVATION

God created human beings in His image.

Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin and death came into the world.

All humans have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23)

Sin has brought a separation between humans and God.

Jesus Christ died for the sin of every human being.

Anyone who admits that he or she is a sinner, repents of his or sin and puts his or her faith in Christ receives God’s free gift of salvation.

Humans cannot be saved by good works, but they are saved for good works
(Eph 2:8-10).

Those who accept God’s gift of salvation through faith in Christ have eternal life and they will go to heaven and live with Christ when they die.

Those who reject God’s offer of salvation will go to hell when they die and live in eternal separation from God.

THE CHURCH

The church is a group of two or more people who have indicated their decision to follow Christ.

Jesus Christ established the church for worship, fellowship and discipleship.

The church serves as a witness to the truth that Jesus Christ is alive.
